La Posta Subscribers' Auctions
Three or four times each year La Posta conducts mail auctions of material
submitted by subscribers. Each auction typically contains 500-600 lots and material ranges
from the pre-stamp era to modern. Almost every state is represented in each sale, and
postal history topics such as Railway Post Offices; Rural Free Delivery; Military, Naval
& Air Covers; Unusual Stamps on Cover, Auxiliary Markings and Advertising Covers. Lots
typically average about $20 each in value, but we do sell material estimated as low as
$3.00.
Participation in La Posta Subscribers' Auctions, as either a buyer or seller, is
limited to current subscribers of the journal. Please consult

catalogs are mailed as stand alone publications to all paid subscribers at no addition
cost beyond the normal $25 per year subscription rate.

All current subscribers are eligible to submit material for auctions. A maximum of 20
lots per consignor may be entered in any one sale. Lots sold successfully are charged a
20% commission, but unsold lots are returned to consignors at no charge.
